He saw religion as a <\/span><span style=\"font-family: var(--awb-text-font-family); font-size: var(--awb-font-size); font-style: var(--awb-text-font-style); letter-spacing: var(--awb-letter-spacing); text-align: var(--awb-content-alignment); text-transform: var(--awb-text-transform);\">threat and replaced faith in God with Juche, an ideology demanding absolute devotion to the l<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var(--awb-text-font-family); font-size: var(--awb-font-size); font-style: var(--awb-text-font-style); letter-spacing: var(--awb-letter-spacing); text-align: var(--awb-content-alignment); text-transform: var(--awb-text-transform);\">eader.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: var(--awb-text-font-family); font-size: var(--awb-font-size); font-style: var(--awb-text-font-style); letter-spacing: var(--awb-letter-spacing); text-align: var(--awb-content-alignment); text-transform: var(--awb-text-transform);\"><br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Churches were destroyed, Bibles were burned, and believers vanished into prison camps. <span style=\"font-family: var(--awb-text-font-family); font-size: var(--awb-font-size); font-style: var(--awb-text-font-style); letter-spacing: var(--awb-letter-spacing); text-align: var(--awb-content-alignment); text-transform: var(--awb-text-transform);\">Under Kim Jong-un today, conditions remain the same. Entire families can be punished for one person\u2019s faith. Yet despite the <\/span><span style=\"font-family: var(--awb-text-font-family); font-size: var(--awb-font-size); font-style: var(--awb-text-font-style); letter-spacing: var(--awb-letter-spacing); text-align: var(--awb-content-alignment); text-transform: var(--awb-text-transform);\">danger, a small underground church still survives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><br \/><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Why the Regime Fears Christianity<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Christianity teaches that all people are created by God, loved, and equal.
