KAC music group is a collective of psalmists and worshippers dedicated to serving as ambassadors of the Kingdom of God through their spiritually and prophetically inspired sounds and sounds. From this group many talents and gifts have been activated and manifested in various forms.

Most recently, Chantelle Rutendo and Daniel Tuyindi have released their latest single “Eternity”. This song depicts the quest of seeking for a love that is pure and kind and ultimately reaching the love of Christ which fulfills all of their desires. Sitting down with them both, they brought understanding to their journey in the music industry so far and the making of this song and their music thus far.

Interview with Daniel Tuyindi

What inspires your music?

“It is a vehicle to show what the Lord is saying. Scripture inspires my music. I read the word then equate it to my life experiences.”

What message do you want people to take away from your lyrics?

“Depending on the season, different songs have different agendas. For my latest song “ Far Far Away”, was about the need for God in all I was doing and nothing was ever enough until I found God. So my message is nothing will ever be enough, the world won’t give you nothing. “

What is the process of you composing your lyrics?

“So I hear what melody the Lord is giving me and I see what scripture it aligns with and I base my life around it. So I alter the words, mish and mash and compare the verse in different versions and I’ll see what I can do to make it a song but still keep the same message.”

How do you discern if a sound doesn’t match the vision you had for the song?

“It’s ordained by the Lord. Sometimes it comes by accident. Anything in the can create the song. There’s been songs I’ve made simply because I was watching a TikTok and PK heard the sound of the TikTok and started working. There’s been songs I’ve made because we were discussing burdens and so we decided to talk about that. In the room where I’m creating the Lord is so intentional that every little thing can be a window to a song that He wants me to speak. There’s nothing too big there’s nothing too small. The Lord is always communicating but He just gives our many chances to discern how.”

Is there anything that has surprised you in the music industry so far?

“To be honest the makeup of the music industry has surprised me. I thought all it took was talent. But it’s actually more business and marketing than we thought. It’s more branding, like it’s a genuine business and I never knew that.”

“The lyrics in your song “Far Far Away” is the first time where you really speak of your upbringing and life before meeting Christ. Would you care to expand on these experiences and how they led you to find Christ.”

“One thing I’ve realized about my life is that I always needed a purpose to live even without Christ. I was still quite noble. I was willing to die if it had a reason. Whereas I found the wrong reason, I still had the blueprint of death in me already. I believe it’s something the devil took and perverted and made me misunderstand it until now. “

“These experiences led me to Christ. I always had good principles but these don’t take you to heaven. Although I was doing very bad things in our head we were morally righteous. We picture ourselves as Robyn Hood- take from the rich and give to the poor. So we thought morally we were doing the Lord’s work even though we didn’t know Him. I met death too many times to not know that God is here. But somehow His grace and mercy has kept me here even when I didn’t deserve it.”

What do you want to say to encourage a young brother in Christ who still hasn’t made the decision to follow Him yet?

“I would tell them that there’s nothing in this world that can fulfill you. For a long time I was purging my soul and I found comfort in mamon but after a certain point it doesn’t fulfill. To encourage young men, I would say try it. Place a demand on God and He will never fail.”

What should we expect from Daniel Tuyindi?

“The truth is Don’t expect anything. Just wait and follow. Anytime you expect you close your heart to slamming else. So don’t expect just follow and we’ll see what the Lord does with me.”

Interview with Chantelle Rutendo

What inspires your music?

“The Holy Spirit. I’ve realized that before writing Holy Father I had never written a song before. From that point I realized that I can never sit down and just write a song. I need to wholly be inspired by the Holy Ghost.”

What message do you want people to take away from your lyrics ?

“Intimacy. Intimacy with the Father and to be more aware and conscious of the Holy Spirit.”

What is the process of you composing your lyrics?

“It will always be a certain theme or message that the Holy Spirit will be trying to express. So once I have that feeling, I stay in that path He is leading me. When I first wrote Holy Father the Lord was revealing Himself to me as Father.”

How do you discern if a sound doesn’t match the vision you had for the song?

“That actually happened with “Psalm 51” because I wrote the song to an instrumental I found on YouTube. Samuel tried to recreate the instrumental, as we couldn’t use the original one I found on YouTube. After recreating it something was off and I couldn’t figure out what it actually was. It was when I was doing a client’s hair, and a melody came back to me and I realized that this melody would suit this song. I had to call Samuel to come back and change the melody, even though it was ready for release I knew it needed to be changed. You just have to be led by the Holy Spirit. There’s always a sound that accompanies the message to express the message fully”.

I noticed your song “Eternity” is truly about the love and relationship you have with Christ. Is this something you have struggled with in Christ and what helped you to overcome this?

“I think one of the first sides of God I was drawn to was Him as Father. It really opened me up to the love of God. To know what it actually means to be unconditionally loved by God. A sovereign Fatherhood.”

“When I struggled looking for love in all of the wrong places, all the other things I was looking for at the end of the day could never satisfy me. There was always something missing. In understanding the love of God as a Father first and then as a bridegroom , showed me this is the sustaining kind of love that you’re left satisfied with.”

What would you want to tell a fellow sister struggling in her identity in Christ?

“Life is a journey of recovery not necessarily discovery. So everything that God says you are isn’t a reality that hasn’t come to pass yet it’s a reality that has already been. It’s up to you to now recover that. “

Tell us about your new album “ To My Friend and My King” and your listening party on the 22 August 2025.

“The vision of the album is exactly the title. I put all of these songs on the album because I felt that they were all expressions of my heart and to all His different dimensions. It was God expressing Himself to me and me responding. These are letters to my friend and my king.”

“Even with the listening party I want it to be a time and opportunity for us to journey the same way the album journeys. Even as we talk, discuss and listen I want it to be a journey that takes people into knowing and discovering these dimensions of God that He is all at the same time. Just because God is a Friend it doesn’t take away from the fact that He is a King. And just because God is a King doesn’t take away from the fact that He is a Friend.”

On 22 August 2025, Chantelle celebrated the release of her newest album “To My Friend and My King”, with an album release listening party. The event consisted of many hearts and souls gathered in eager expectancy to listen to edifying melodies. This was a moment for individuals to pause, to selah and take in each song on the album and to also hear Chantelle’s heart’s contemplations behind every song. One of the attendees who also happened to be an artist expressed that they had felt conviction being in this session and now feel the urge to change their approach in their relationship with God.

Amongst these many amazing things, KAC music group is very multi-faceted and has recently released a new album “Sounds of the Upperroom Volume 2”. Be encouraged to give it a listen.
